Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) has launched KAIROS, a new artificial intelligence platform designed to integrate AI tools into the daily workflows of employees across the organisation. Introduced on 1 July 2026, the platform reflects KBS’s commitment to accelerating its AI transformation and strengthening innovation across its broadcasting operations.
KAIROS combines KBS’s production expertise with advanced AI capabilities to support a wide range of newsroom and production tasks. Among its key features are AI-powered chatbots that assist journalists with research, fact-checking, and story preparation, while also helping producers develop interview outlines and generate relevant questions. The platform is designed to continuously evolve, with new features refined through employee feedback and practical use.
To safeguard sensitive editorial and production information, KBS operates KAIROS on a dedicated secure cloud developed in partnership with a domestic technology company specialising in AI solutions for the public sector.
KBS President and CEO Park Jang-beom said the launch marks a significant step in embedding AI into everyday operations, enabling staff to work more efficiently while reinforcing the broadcaster’s public service mission and preparing for the future of media.
