China Media Group (CMG) has officially launched the 2026 China Science and Technology Innovation Gala, marking a key milestone in its efforts to advance science communication and innovation. The launch took place during the opening of the fourth China (Anhui) Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Transformation Fair in Hefei, bringing together stakeholders from across the technology and media sectors.

Produced by CMG’s Social Education Program Center, in collaboration with its Anhui station and the Hefei municipal government, the Gala is positioned as one of CMG’s flagship science programmes. It aims to highlight major technological breakthroughs while blending science with creative storytelling to present innovation in a more engaging and accessible way.

The initiative reflects a broader collaboration between CMG, Anhui Province, and Hefei City to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world application. By connecting media platforms with industry and research communities, the programme seeks to support the commercialisation of innovation and drive broader economic impact.

As part of the launch, CMG also introduced a global recruitment campaign inviting innovators worldwide to participate in the Gala. The initiative aims to leverage CMG’s extensive reach to promote technological advancement, attract investment, and support the growth of talent and innovation-driven enterprises.
