An ABU Perspective: 121st ABU Administrative Council Meeting in Macau

13 May 2026

The 121st Administrative Council (AC) Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has officially commenced in Macau, hosted by Teledifusão de Macau (TDM).

The meeting brings together senior representatives of ABU member broadcasters and the Union’s leadership to deliberate on key administrative, strategic, and policy matters shaping ABU’s work and direction. Discussions are focused on strengthening cooperation among members, reviewing ongoing initiatives, and addressing emerging challenges and opportunities facing broadcasters across the Asia-Pacific region.

As one of the Union’s principal governing bodies, the Administrative Council plays a central role in guiding ABU’s programmes, ensuring good governance, and supporting the Union’s mission to promote collaboration, innovation, and capacity building in broadcasting.

The 121st AC Meeting also reflects ABU’s continued commitment to inclusive dialogue and shared decision-making, as members come together to contribute perspectives from across diverse broadcasting landscapes.
