The 32nd ABU Intellectual Property & Legal Committee (IPLC) concluded successfully in Jakarta, Indonesia, bringing together broadcasters, legal practitioners, policymakers and industry experts from across the Asia-Pacific region. Hosted by Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI), the conference focused on “AI, Copyright & Royalties in the Digital Content Economy,” exploring emerging legal and commercial challenges arising from artificial intelligence, copyright protection and content monetisation. Through insightful presentations, panel discussions and knowledge exchange, delegates examined practical approaches to safeguarding intellectual property while fostering innovation. The conference reaffirmed ABU’s commitment to supporting its members in navigating the rapidly evolving legal landscape of digital broadcasting.
