ABC iview Drives Strong Digital Audience Growth Across Digital Platforms

13 Jul 2026

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has reported continued growth across its digital platforms, with its streaming service, ABC iview, recording a 14 per cent increase in weekly audiences in 2026. The platform now reaches 3.8 million Australians each week, reflecting the growing demand for trusted, on-demand public service content.

ABC also revealed that its television and streaming content now reaches 12.3 million Australians weekly, driven by strong performances across news, current affairs, Australian drama, comedy, documentaries, and children’s programming. The results underscore the broadcaster’s continued success in engaging audiences across both traditional broadcast and digital platforms.

The broadcaster attributed the growth to its ongoing investment in high-quality Australian content and its commitment to making trusted journalism and locally produced programmes accessible whenever and wherever audiences choose to watch. The latest figures reinforce ABC’s position as one of Australia’s leading public media organisations in an increasingly digital media landscape.
