The National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) has stepped into a key planning role for the upcoming 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings, participating in high-level strategic discussions to shape the event’s global public outreach. On June 19, 2026, NBT Director Tassaneeyaporn Doungkaew, alongside a prominent delegation of NBT network representatives, took part in a crucial coordination meeting with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Government Public Relations Department (PRD) headquarters.

The session focused on mapping out comprehensive information dissemination workflows and public awareness campaigns leading up to the global financial summit, which Thailand is set to host from October 12–18 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. To ensure maximum media reach and seamless coverage for both domestic and international audiences, NBT deployed representatives from its core broadcasting arms to align directly on technical and programming needs. These critical divisions included NBT World, the network’s primary international English-language television service; Radio Thailand World Service, the group’s global radio broadcast operation; and NBT Connext, the network’s digital and mobile news infrastructure.

The visiting IMF delegation was led by Pierre Mejlak, Head of Media, and Pavis Devahasadin na Ayutaya, Communications Officer, who exchanged views with Director Doungkaew and Nattanun Rojanakorn, Director of the Foreign Affairs Division, regarding international press logistics. As a premier global forum that brings together finance ministers, central bank governors, and economic policymakers from across the globe, the upcoming summit requires highly coordinated media platforms. By anchoring these discussions, NBT and its integrated divisions are establishing the necessary technical and strategic foundations to support accurate, wide-reaching coverage of the milestone event across its extensive media platforms.
